5KM- Run For Her
Through transformative programs and collaborative efforts, we envision a Canada where every woman and girl can achieve their full potential, actively participate in society, and access quality wellness and healthcare. Join us in building a brighter future, where everyone has equal opportunities and can lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
The 5km run for her is a charity fundraising event where participants cover a distance of approximately 5 kilometers (about 3.1 miles) on foot. The primary goal is to raise funds and awareness for Poverty alleviation.
Women Empowerment (personal & economic) development:
- Technology & Digital inclusion: Ensuring that women have access to and can benefit from technological advancements, as well as bridging the digital gender gap.
- Healthcare: Ensuring women have access to adequate healthcare services.
- Education: Providing awareness and information to enhance women’s skills, knowledge, and confidence, enabling them to pursue better opportunities in life.
There are still large income and wealth gaps that negatively impact women, especially adolescents and seniors from marginalized groups. Women who are poor are more prone to experience housing instability or homelessness and women who experience domestic violence may also end up homeless or in dangerous circumstances.
In other to create a thriving and inclusive society, Women Focus Canada (WFC) envisions a Canada where every woman and girl can achieve their full potential, actively participate in society and have access to basic human necessities.
Help Dr. Oluremi Adewale, CEO of WFC, to raise funds and awareness for Poverty alleviation.
