Youth Civic Engagement Project (YCEP) is an initiative designed to encourage young women to learn about Canada’s political infrastructure and governance systems.

WFC Youth Civic Engagement Project (YCEP) is an initiative designed to encourage young women, between the age of 15 to 29 to gain essential knowledge about Canada’s political infrastructure and governance systems, elevate skills, and ignite confidence; thus ensuring tomorrow’s young change-makers are equipped with the knowledge to pursue a brighter future.

  1. Youth Development: WFC hosts capacity-building sessions to help young women hone communication skills and articulate their thoughts effectively. Fostering insights into political activities, careers in government, and civic engagement.
  2. Community Facilitation  

Mentorship – Through a mentorship program young women will be paired with identified mentors in leadership or employment across government and community to nurture their talents and prepare them for active civic engagement.

-Parliament Visit (Ottawa) – Bridging the gap between passion and action YCEP’s parliamentary visit provides an opportunity for young women to gain insights into the legislative process and forge meaningful connections with community leaders and government representatives.
